Food Additives in US Food vs. European Food and Their Health Effects

In addition to these specific additives, processed foods in the United States tend to contain higher levels of overall chemicals than processed foods in Europe. This is because American food manufacturers often use chemicals to extend shelf life, enhance flavor, and make food more appealing to consumers.
The health effects of these chemicals are still being studied, but there is some evidence that they can contribute to a variety of health problems, including cancer, heart disease, obesity, and allergies.
